Well look at that another baking post! I loved making cheese scones as a child, it’s something my mum and I used to do all the time, so I thought I’d Disneyfy the recipe. If you’re not from the UK this might me a bit of a different recipe but cheese scones are a staple over here and a treat I adore.
The great thing about cheese scones is that they are super easy to make and absolutely delicious. Additionally, if you’re not a massive cheese fan then you can change the flavours to anything you fancy; if you want to go classic then you can add sultanas but feel free to be a tad adventurous with this one. I really hope you guys like this recipe, as it does mean a lot to me, so please let me know if you try it yourself and feel free to tag me on insta (@howtoholidaydisney) with your results.

Equipment

Scales
Mixing Bowl
Spoon
Grater
Rolling Pin
Baking Tray
Baking/Greaseproof Paper
Disney Cutter (I got mine from Amazon)
Pastry Brush
Ingredients
250g Self Raising Flour
55g Butter/Low Fat Spread
30g Cheddar Cheese (Grated)
150ml Milk
1tsp Salt

Recipe
Heat the Oven to 220C/Gas 7.
Line the baking tray with baking/greaseproof paper.
Mix together the flour and salt in a mixing bowl.
Rub in the butter. (You want the mix to be a kind of breadcrumby texture)
Stir in the grated cheese.
Slowly add and stir in the milk till you get a soft dough. (Leave around 25ml for later)
Lightly flour the surface and roll out the dough till 2cm thick. (Be gentle when rolling so not to knock out all of the air)
Cut out some Mickey shaped scones and place on your lined baking tray.
Keep rolling out and cutting the dough till it’s all gone.
Brush the tops with a little milk.
Bake for 15 mins until well risen and golden.
Place on a wire rack to cool and enjoy!

Simple as that! I really do love using my Mickey cookie cutters because they can be used to add a bit of magic to so many bakes. I hope you guys enjoy these little Mickey savoury treats and let me know how you got on. Please leave a comment if there’s any Disney baking you want to see on the blog and have a magical time!
